Sweet Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Bread

Cheddar Cornbread Recipe
Our Sweet Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread is studded with cheddar cheese, diced jalapeño peppers, and our Sweet Jalapeno Seasoning. We gave the traditional Southern classic cornbread recipe a slightly sweet and spicy kick! Enjoy!
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons Sweet Jalapeno Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Butter Seasoning
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 8 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup chopped scallions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons seeded and minced fresh jalapeno peppers


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; then allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 by 13 by 2-inch baking pan. 
  3. Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into large slices. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
