Sweet Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Bread

Sweet and Spicy Corn Bread Recipe
Our Sweet Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread is a wild twist on the Southern classic. Loaded with cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, and a kick of our Sweet Jalapeno Seasoning, we've given the traditional corn bread recipe a slightly sweet and spicy kick that'll have you hollerin' for more.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons Sweet Jalapeno Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Butter Seasoning
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 8 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup chopped scallions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons seeded and minced fresh jalapeno peppers


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; then allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 by 13 by 2-inch baking pan. 
  3. Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into large slices. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
