Seared Ahi Tuna

Seared ahi tuna may sound fancy, but it’s easier to make at home than you’d think. We’ll walk you through it step by step so you can serve up this fresh, flavor-packed favorite with confidence.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1.00 - 1.25 lb. Tuna Steak
- 3 Tbs. Vegetable Oil
- Scallion and Toasted Sesame Seeds, for garnish
Marinade
- 2 Tbs. Honey
- 2 Tbs. Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbs. Sesame Oil
- 1 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Peppered Sea Salt Seasoning
- 2 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Garlic Butter Seasoning
- 1 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Blackened Seasoning
PROCEDURE:
- Combine marinade ingredients and marinate tuna for at least 3 hours in a Ziploc bag (overnight is best for marinating)
- Heat up skillet for 2-3 minutes with 3 Tbs. Vegetable Oil
- Place tuna steaks in hot skillet and sear (1 minute on each side for rare, 1.5-2 minutes on each side for medium rare)
- Remove from skillet and slice
- Sprinkle chopped scallion and toasted sesame seeds over sliced Ahi Tuna
